Karen E. Black is the Director of Program Review for Planning and Institutional Improvement at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and managing editor of Assessment Update. She is a PhD candidate in Higher Education at Indiana University with a minor in English. Her research interests include student learning outcomes and academic program review about which she has co-authored books, and book chapters, and articles.
